MTN SA is promising to up the game with a “near-real-time” routing management platform that is set to be rolled out from a partnership with globalised software services provider CSG International.
MTN announced yesterday that it has teamed up with CSG International in a partnership designed to deliver “optimized routing solutions to the South African market”.
MTN said by implementing the CSG Optimized Routing solution, it will also be able to identify the fastest and highest-quality traffic route for its wholesale customers and resolve route discrepancies in a matter of seconds.
The company added that CSG Optimized Routing solution will provide its wholesale customers the ability to negotiate rates flexibly and swiftly, allowing them to reap the rewards of frequent carrier rate changes in near-real-time. Uploading new rate changes once took MTN SA weeks to complete, but with the CSG Optimized Routing solution, rate changes can be completed at the click of a button.
In signing up for the CSG Optimized Routing Solution, MTN is joining a list of top global players who are served by the NASDAQ listed firm. CSG International is prominent business support solutions and services company with blue chip clients and a majority within top 100 global communications service providers, including AT&T, Comcast, DISH Network, France Telecom, Orange, T-Mobile, Telefonica, Time Warner Cable, Vodafone, Vivo and Verizon.
MTN said the partnership brings in a new offering to help its wholesale clients maximize revenue generation through improved customer experience.
MTN SA GM Carrier Services Sethunya Mbete said “It is refreshing to partner with a company such as CSG International that provides solutions that talk to our strategic objective of striving to create a distinct customer experience”.
He said this relationship will help MTN SA Carrier Services improve product offerings, boost the wholesale customer experience, and simplify operations. Specifically, MTN’s adoption of the CSG Optimized Routing solution will enable MTN SA Carrier Services to manage inter-carrier traffic more efficiently, improve the quality of service, and increase operational profitability throughout the organization.
“The CSG Optimized Routing solution is supporting MTN’s connectivity strategy and the establishment of a best-in-class traffic management practice. It will also enable better retail propositions for international calling in the South African market and neighbouring countries using the MTN network,” said Mbete.
“We’re delighted to be working with MTN to bring our optimized routing solution to the South African market,” said George Fraser, vice president and managing director, EMEA, at CSG International. “Our goal is simple: to give our clients the tools and solutions they need to improve services delivered to their customers while simultaneously decreasing the cost to serve. CSG Optimized Routing does both, and we look forward to collaborating further with MTN to introduce additional value-added solutions to this fast-growing market.”
